;DHi I wanted to start a forum to help guys like us out on racing a metric chassis on asphalt. We are currently running a minicup style of car up in Canada and next year we are going to switch to a full size car. I have no idea what works with a metric chassis or where to start. By the Way the driver will be my 13 year old son. The rules say stock 350, stock rear end, 3 spd auto, DOT tires. Any help with building our first "real car" would be greatly appreciated.

;Di do not race a metric car but do run a 76 malibu in a thunder stock division in my experance at slinger super speedway in wisconsin a stock 350 is not stock i have alot of money in my motor and yet not very competative a metric car is a lot shortter than mine and can handle better the biggest problem ive found with them in my class is they do not meet the minuim weight and weight must be added which is not leigal in our division but it happens anyways your best bet and what i did is to talk to some guys or girls who have run that divison and weed out the b.s which is given more than the truth. just remember and what ive learned is if it does not say it in the rules its legal not to sound like a cheater but when in rome!keep your head up and i will check back to see if any more ?

Well we can use weight and all the cars are metric except for one old Monte. This website is pretty lame!

Sorry your not happy with our website "Bob". But a two comment post isn't exactly exciting now is it?! This forum is but a piece of the larger puzzle. A few people come on here and acutally find time to say something constructive. We are linked to from many different Chevy forums everyday stating this is their favorite site for casting numbers. And I get e-mails from around the world thanking us for the info. This isn't supposed to be the greatest site on the web. It is a site for racers to interact with each other if they so choose.
There is no need to do any bashing on here. If it's lame, try a post with some info for our members, or opinions of what's happening in your area! Thanks for stopping by none the less.
Brian
